New Delhi, Aug 19, 2026 “The true potential of India’s pharmaceutical engine can only be realized when the regulator and the manufacturer operate with a shared national economic objective,” stated an industry representative. “We must dismantle adversarial bureaucratic barriers and replace them with a collaborative culture.

Building Team Pharma India means aligning domestic compliance strictness with aggressive global trade facilitation, allowing our local entrepreneurs to confidently compete against emerging generic hubs.

Representing a unified front of domestic drug manufacturers and merchant exporters, industry advocates have issued a strategic appeal to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) to fundamentally reform its regulatory approach.

The call urges the national regular to transition away from rigid, multi-layered policing metrics and instead act as a cooperative partner alongside

businesses. Proponents argue that by prioritizing policy predictability, cutting administrative duplication, and operating under a unified “Team Pharma India” banner, the government can clear the path for domestic pharmaceutical entrepreneurs to seamlessly secure a permanent position within the global top 10 industry rankings.
